Pike-Softball Champs

It was a great day to be involved in Greek athletics this past Friday. The afternoon featured two semi-final games, a home run derby, and the championship game. The home run derby competition was in honor of Gunnar Sandberg, whose inspirational comeback after being struck in the head by a baseball about a year ago, has impacted many students at Chico State. Next spring, the first annual Gunnar Sandberg award will be given out this event to an inspirational Chico State student.

AGD Car Wash Chico State

Being a Greek at Chico State, surprisingly for some, is more than parties and socials.  It is about giving back to the local community and raising money for our different chapter’s philanthropies.  Alpha Gamma Delta held their fundraiser on Saturday, April 16 for their own philanthropy- The Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation. A foundation that provides grants to support members and other individuals living with diabetes.

Sigma Chi Derby Days T-shirt

Derby Days are back!  Sigma Chi is back on campus after their year long hiatus and with them comes their popular philanthropy, Derby Days.  The week long philanthropic event is being held Sunday April 10- Friday April 15.  The week consists of the 5 sororities on campus- Alpha Phi, Alpha Delta Pi, Alpha Gamma Delta, Gamma Phi Beta, and Sigma Kappa – teaming up with the members of Sigma Chi to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network.  The theme this year is “It’s for the kids.”

Sigma Kappa Formal Chico State

The lovely ladies of Sigma Kappa kicked off the weekend with their spring formal Friday night. The sisters and their dates arrived in their nicest formal wear at the Sigma Kappa house to start off the night, they then all boarded a trolley that took them down esplanade to The Gooney Bird Bar and Grill.

Theta Chi War of Roses Winners

Theta Chi wasted no time coming back from Spring Break by throwing their 2nd annual War of the Roses Week. The week-long philanthropy event raised over $2,100 to support the Brady Campaign, which is an organization designed to prevent gun violence. This four day event had each of the five sororities on campus at CSU Chico (Sigma Kappa, Alpha Gamma Delta, Alpha Delta Pi, Gamma Phi Beta and Alpha Phi) competing against each other in a variety of events. They earned points throughout the week based on their performance in the activities. The brothers of Theta Chi were divided...

Sigma Kappa - University of Tennessee: Knoxville - Future House

4 Greeks welcomes Sigma Kappa UTK to our website! They ordered tanks from us not too long ago, but the real story is the house they have in the works. 4,040,000. To the average person this number may seem random but to the ladies of Sigma Kappa at the University of Tennessee this number represents a dream. $4,040,000 is the budgeted cost for their brand new sorority house that is supposed to be completed this summer. In May 2008, The University of Tennessee sororities held a drawing for lots in the brand new Sorority Village. The new Sorority Village will...

4 Greeks Director Brian Sweat Taking Photos of the Models

On Sunday March 27th, several fraternities and sororities from the Chico State campus got together at Dragon Graphics to photograph every shirt that Dragon Graphics has ever produced for each chapter. Each chapter brought in a model picked from within their ranks that wore all of that chapters apparel for the photo shoot. For the upcoming socials, the Greek Community will be able to look at the pictures from the photo shoot to decide what brand and shirt style they want to use. All in all the photo shoot took about three and a half hours which was not a...

Sigma Kappa--Kappa Rho Chapter Zip-ups

The lovely ladies of Sigma Kappa down at UC-Irvine recently received their first order with 4-Greeks.  The Kappa Rho chapter decided to design a very simple, yet classy American Apparel zip-up in navy blue with gold ink.  On the left breast states “Sigma Kappa, UCI,” while the back is of Sigma Kappa’s crest. Being a Sigma Kappa, and also from Newport Beach (only 5 minutes from UCI), I am looking forward to seeing these young women strut around Orange County in zip-ups 4-Greeks provided them with! Hope you all enjoy them, and we look forward to working with you again!

Over 350 women signed up for the Formal Recruitment process at Chico State this year, a record amount that shows the growing strength of the Greek system here in Chico. Many of the sororities chose 4-Greeks to print shirts for the various days of recruitment, including bid day. The variety and creativity of the shirts greatly added to the whole process. The five chapters, Alpha Phi, Alpha Gamma Delta, Gamma Phi Beta, Alpha Delta Pi and Sigma Kappa all welcomed over 50 new sisters to their houses. All chapters gained fantastic additions and throughout the recruitment process helped benefit their...

Chico State - Greek Week 2010 - Talent Show

Dancing and acting and musicians, oh my! Talent was abundant at the final event of 2010 Chico State Greek Week, the Talent Show. Each fraternity/sorority prepared skits, dance routines, and performed with lives instruments demonstrating the amount of diverse talent present in their chapters. Each team battled for the awards of best choreography, most creative, best use of theme, and overall talent. The winners for Best Use of Theme were Phi Delta Theta and Alpha Gamma Delta, both members of the purple team, whose theme was Toy Story. Alpha Gamma Delta utilized Randy Newman’s song “You’ve Got a Friend in...

Greek Week 2010 - Blood Drive - Gamma Phi Beta Giving Blood

The event for Greek week on Monday and Tuesday was the blood drive competition, hosted by BloodSource.  I was skeptical about this event at first because many people have fears of donating, but the turn out was awesome! I was one of the first people in the door, number 19 to be exact, and by the time I left 30 minutes later, they were calling number 108. The blood drive was in the BMU auditorium (as usual) but this year was different. The floor was filled with Greeks wearing their power letters, both as workers for the event and as...
